I am loving there foot cream.. my feet feel like they had a pedicure. They are soft and the gross stuff on my one toe is basiclly gone. As for the skin care, I am using the gold line. I love the face scrub, its nice doesnt hurt to use like some and it makes the skin look great. I tried a sea mask and man the smell could knock me down at 20 feet. That is horrid. The mask works great just way to strong. I wrote a letter to them about it.
I am trying to think who would like to have a party and what I should bring and things. I want to get buffing blocks and nail files to make a set out of that and the hand care items.

I hate having stuff I dont use. Like I have a lancome eyeliner in vert (olive green) I will never wear it. I have a blush from Stila that I wont use. I have a cream eye shadow from Mac I wont use and I have the Bobbi Brown lip combo that I havent used but I dont want, its to dark. So the question is should I return the stuff, I dont have my receipt or boxes or anything. Or should I just toss them out. That a lot of money to toss into the garbag, around $100. Now here is the thing that makes me question it. Some of the items I got on Ebay, and some I got in a trade. I just hate the idea of throwing them away. And Ebay has gone psyo about selling even tested makeup. I have to go to MayFair tomorrow, and I am going to exchange them. Hmm Oh well its the best option for me.

Well MAC this month has or soon will be releasing 4 different groups. The first one is the Mineralize items that are pictured here. These consist of Shimpagne, Medium, Porcelain Pink (all skinfinish’s). The eye shadows are Heat Element (red and gold) Bright Side Gallery Gal (moss and beige) and Persona Screen Vinyl (black and white). The two fluidlines are Lithograph and New Weed.

I really like the skinfinish's. The pink I use as a blush and the Shimpagne is a nice highlighter for fair skin. I use it instead of a bronzer. The eye shadows are actually very basic. But you can use them wet for more dramatic results. When used dry Heat Element is more of a copper then a red so its subtle then it looks. The bright side Gallery gal is very basic beige and moss colors if you have a lot of neutrals I would not get it. The Persona Screen Vinyl I haven’t tried I am to chicken to do a smoky eye. Maybe I can ask Rachel for some help.

Over all the items I like best are the Skinfinish's and the fluidlines. The eye shadows are pretty but nothing amazing.

I have to say that I am so happy with the purchases I made from the Nars fall line. Penny Lane blush gives me that just kissed glow, add Oasis and it gives a little shimmer. This is the best blush I have ever owned. I am simply in love with this combo. Then add Bohemian Gold and India Song eye shadows they really look amazing on. Add a little bit of brown eyeliner and you can go out for day or night and look great. I like to add Butterfield lip-gloss with these items. This is my favorite fall look by far!

I decided to try BeautiControl. I just love the idea of doing a spa night with the girls. I could care less about selling the stuff. I just want to spend time making people feel good. I am weird, I know. I think that doing this will make people feel good, and I love the idea that I could make someone’s day just a little better. Anyway don’t worry I wont be hawking product here. I am still a true girly girl so much so that I don’t think I could get all my stuff in one place. So I will still be putting up some reviews. I fell in love with Dior 970 eye shadow palette... its beautiful. Also I am head over heals for Nars Penny lane cream blush. It is the perfect blush for me... I will post a bunch of new stuff soon. I am moving my house around so it’s a little difficult to keep up with all my new toys. But trust me soon I promise!

Nars Fall Look

I havent had a good day. I got my hair colored and cut, and I am really disappointed with the color. Its flat and lisless, doesnt have any variation of shade. I am getting it fixed on this coming Wendesday, which is a long time...

I didnt say anything to the girl who did my hair. Sometimes it looks better outside and once you get use to it. It just looks so blah, nothing that you couldnt get out of a $10 kit at the drugstore. For the $135 with tip that I paid I expected more deapth. But it is being addressed and it should be free. I just feel maturnly and ugly.

So I felt down about my hair, but I was over by Marshall Fields which is the only place in town that sells Nars, Mac, Bobbi Brown, and a few others (Dior, Benifit, there are more I just cant remember them all) So I wanted to imitate the Nars Fall Look which I think is lovely. So I bought a few things will update you all on how it works out.

I know I shouldn’t have done this... but I really needed a little lift this week. So I did some shopping. I went to Mac and picked up a few items. First Mac has this great trade in program. You get 6 empty eye shadow receptacles, and you take them to a Mac counter and you get a free lipstick. So I did that and wanted the new one that came out with Amuse, they were out. So I picked up Frenzy, which is nice. So then I purchased the Mineralize skinfinish in Porcelain Pink, I got this to sell later on but it’s so pretty I might have to keep it. Then I picked up the Persona/Screen vinyl eye shadow also with the idea of selling. I have two colors I got in my trade that are so similar that I don’t need it. But this is sold out on Mac's website figured I could sell it later. Be-in lip-gloss and Lithograph eyeliner completed my Mac purchases.

Then I moved on to Bobbi Brown counter and picked up two more Chocolate Eye Palettes, for selling later on this year. I might take mine back some of the colors look really muddy on me and for that kind of $$ I want something I will wear a lot.

And then the perfume... OUCH on the pocket book.

I am getting my hair done on Wednesday and that will be at least $125.00. So I am thinking what can I do to make some money.

Hanae Mori Haute Couture Perfum

I fell in love with another perfume. This is a rare occurrence. I have one perfume I love Bvlgari Crystalline, I would bath in the stuff if I could. Thing that’s bad I can’t get it to really stay on without dousing myself all over with it. I don’t wear anything strong, I get headaches from a lot of perfumes so I am considerate about wearing them.
So I was at Fields buying way too much stuff, when I happened across a couple of perfumes. I like odd perfumes, like I will tell someone what I have on and they give me a blank stare, that kind of perfume. I have contemplated getting some samples from I hate perfume because its sounds different. I don’t like musk, I don’t like oriental, I don’t like heavy floral, I don’t like to much fruit, I like green but nicely tempered. So I have a hard time finding perfume. I was happy when I found the one.
Now comes this beautiful flowing bottle with a little gold band around its top. It has musk, it has floral, it has green, and it has fruit. When I first spray it I don’t like it, but once it settles.. It smells amazing. Its a lingering warm smell, like a flowers after the rain in a the woods. I have found another perfume to love. That makes two, which to me is amazing, as I have never had two perfumes that I adored at one time.. ever.

These items arrived in the mail and I was so happy, not only was everything in great shape, there were some extras. I cant wait to try everything out. And it was supper easy to do. I love the Aveda shimmer liquid it has a lovely warm tone and is not overwhelming.

Well this is Bobbi Brown's new fall line, chocolate. They even have a beauty bar (aka chocolate bar). The palette is browns and nudes, which is what Bobbi does best. The lip combo's are quite fun and not too sticky.
I have to say that if you have a lot of browns and nudes, this palette isn’t worth getting. I am still not sure how I feel about it. To me my eyes look muddy with the matt shades. But I am going to give it a bit. It might be my application. I do not have a blush to go with this and that also might help. I am not sure what color blush to even get to go with it. I might have to pop into the Bobbi Brown counter at Marshal Fields to see what they suggest.

I use to wear pinks, purples, and blues. Now its reds, oranges, browns. Its like my whole wardrobe change color from cool too warm. I have some new Mac colors in purple and pink and I hate the colors, I am returning them. But I think its just because I stopped liking those colors. Is that odd.

Well first I have to tell you all, I am so broke. I have a ton of bills, medical stuff and credit cards. Its bad. Anyway my husband put us on a budget, were not doing to great at this currently. But I have decided that my beauty habit, including everything. Like shampoo, makeup, bath stuff, cloths, and haircuts and colors, are all coming out of my pocket. Even if I have to sell my soul to the devil I am not going to use $ from our normal account.

Now I know you are all going.. but we need reviews.. how are we to survive? Fear not, I will triumph over these circumstances. I put up posters at work selling my amazing chocolate chunk cookies 24 for $25, and my masterful cheesecakes for $35. And I am making people buy them. I have brought them in so many times for free, if they dont buy them when I need help, no more goodies for them. (wicked laugh)

So far I have made $30, and I have three orders for cookies, so that’s $75. Of course I have to use some money to get supplies, but that’s ok. So I have $40 I got from selling some jewelry I don’t wear anymore. Then I got a $26 rebate, and up to a total of $130 so far with everything.

And I am having a rummage this weekend; I am taking some of my parent’s stuff. They are supposed to be moving out, so that Sandie can move in. My mother told Sandie that they are selling the house that she currently lives in. So I am actually helping my parents move, not just getting more money. Hmm wonder if the tables are nailed down...

Ok it was over 100 today and so humid. It is hot, the sticky miserable heat, which snaps all life out of you. Its the kind when you walk out of the house to your car, that your sweating and if you had worn makeup it would have slid half way down your face. I don’t even put on mascara when it’s like this.

I also had a dentist appointment. I have a cavity on my front tooth. I hate dentist, all of them in general. I can’t see why anyone would make a profession of causing people pain. I mean my cavity doesn’t hurt; it doesn’t bother me, I think maybe if I brush a whole hell of a lot that it might go away. But noooo, I have to get it filled. Do you know how much it hurts to have a filling done in the front of your mouth? I am almost crying just thinking about it. And what really sucks, I have been brushing and flossing. It took the lady maybe 10 minutes to clean my teeth; I didn’t even have much tarter. For someone in there 30's to not have tarter build up is unusual. But no I have fricken cavity. I would rather other cavities be filled then the one on my tooth.

It’s not even this guys fault that I hate dentist. When I was a kid, my mom when to OA (over eaters anonymous) She meant a dentist there and took us to see him. He was a very large man, with very large fingers. I would get my teeth cleaned and come out with the side of my lips bleeding. I think I bit him once and he hit me. Anyway now I don’t even like people touching my teeth, I don’t even like having like the white strips or anything like that on my teeth. I don’t even like having my teeth cleaned. Some people say there teeth feel so much cleaner; well mine were clean when I went in. It’s just not fair. I am so upset.

Anyway this is a brand new dentist, he took maybe a minute to check my teeth and almost missed the cavity, if it wasn’t for the lady who cleaned my teeth. But then I told them I don’t want to have it filled, and he was like "I don't have time for this." What the hell is that suppose to mean? And then he came out and me and another patient were lamenting the fact that we had to have a filling, and he asked which was the biggest whiner? Hell ya I am, but I don’t think I like him.

Makeup Alley This is just a great site, they have product reviews, and boards to chat on in my opion the Makeup board is great info and funMakeup Board. The site also has info on perfume, nails, fashion, skin care pretty much anything you can think of that might involve makeup. But it has one stand out feature, its called swap. I love this idea, you have a product that you dont use or it just looks off, you didnt want to take it back so you have it lying around taking up space. Maybe you decided to switch makeup lines and are getting out the old and bringing in the new. This is where Swap comes in. Members post things they no longer use, or just dont want, they find something they want. They send an email to offer to swap. You have wishlist of items your looking for and they have wishlist of items they are looking for, so if there is something to trade you swap items. This is just such a wonderful idea. You cant sell anything used on Ebay, even if its just lightly used. So this gives you some options to get something else to try. Anyway I think its great!

New Fall Lines Bobbi Brown Chocolate

Well I for one love chocolate, I like to eat, bake with it, and now I can use it for my makeup too! I saw Beauty Addict this and I had to have it. I ordered it that day. These look like sexy brown tones, which I love. I also cant wait to try the smoky eye look with them.

And in case you missed it MAC's new fall line comes out this Thrusday. I have a 2:00PM appointment with Rachel, my MAC goddess/ Makeup Artist. I am going to bring my camera and see if I can take pictures through out the make over. I am sure I cant take any of the fall line but it will be all over the web, so no worries. I just thought it would be intresting to show the process.

I read some books this weekend

Making Faces, InStyle Getting Gorgeous, and a few other old books. One was talking about the color guild that was so popular in the 80's, and the other was basic info about healthy skin.

Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin. It was a pretty good book for techniques. What it does do is show lots of looks from basic steps. Like it does a great job of explaining how to get the smoky eye. One big draw back was that black eyeliner was used on everyone. I was almost as if other colors don’t exist. Maybe I am wrong but doesn’t black eyeliner on the lower eyelid, inside the lash line and below it make your eyes look smaller? Also he doesn’t show how to apply eye shadow to the lower lash area. I never try it because I think it would just look messy, there has got to be a way of applying it so its not too much. Anyway I haven’t found it yet, I guess I will be playing with it. I copied a few pages to recreate the looks; I didn’t want to get anything on the library book. So I will take before and after pictures if I can come up with the colors.

InStyle Getting Gorgeous, would be good for a beginner. It went through basics like skin care, and types of products. The products, which were listed, were department store brands, so might be a little pricey too try many of the items. It does go through steps for manicures, pedicures, home facials, and different make up types. But for makeup application it’s not very informative. It goes through each type of product, but it breaks it down into face shapes. I just don’t like it, I can never tell if I am round, oval or dingbat shaped. So I didn’t like that. It does go through many spa and dermatologist treatments, as well as plastic surgery options. So its useful information, but not helpful with application of makeup.

So I will tell you if it sucks, because I will return items with no shame. Yes even the stuff from the drug store. I know some of the more popular beauty blogs get stuff for free. I am an unknown. I would love to get stuff for free, but it wont happen, I live in Wisconsin for heavens sake. And everyone outside of Wisconsin knows that all the people in Wisconsin are beer drinking, brat eating, polka dancers, not interested in makeup or beauty at all. Unless its the beauty of a perfectly cooked beer brat, the accumulation of all things good in the world.

Soft hands, Mary Kay Private Spa Collection Satinhands, winner hands down!

I have hands that are dry I wash them constantly. I have a truly awful habit of ripping off my cuticles if they are dry, and I rip them till I bleed. So hand care is one of the areas I need help. I also have a problem elbow, it is always dry to the point of my skin cracking and bleeding. Now I have tried all kinds of hand cream, body cream, foot cream, I have even used lip balm trying to help this elbow. Which is why I am so trilled to tell you about Mary Kays new Satinhands product. First off they smells wonderful! It has 3 steps that you can take or you can use items individually. The first step is the extra emollient night cream. If you like taking a rich lotion and wearing gloves to bed to have the softest hands, this product is made for you. I used it like that and my hands felt like silk. Also for those of you who don’t want to take the time it can be used for a few moments and then scrubbed off with the Satin Smoothie hand scrub. This is a rich scrub that cleanses hands and exfoliates the skin. Then this is followed up with Satinhands hand cream, which is so nice its not greasy feeling and it smells so good. I also really like Mary Kays other Satinhands products. I really think that Mary Kay has the best hand cream/lotions around. I should know I have tried everything.

My brush collection and care

My brush collection... I love brushes. I like the way they feel on skin. I like what you can do with them. (NO nothing sick, get your mind out of the gutter, hehe.) I just like them and now I think I have a pretty full collection of brushes for anything that I can think of. I just got a bunch of Chanel brushes on ebay, and no I am not sure they are actual Chanel brushes but they are a good quality and that’s what I care about in this case. Ebay does have some amazing deals on brushes; I picked up 3 Estee Lauder brushes for around $10 with shipping, one fan brush, one finishing brush, and one blending brush. They have the blue handles in the photo. Good brushes are the only way to make your makeup look good. The little ones that come with the package they are disposable. Also good brushes will last a long time if you take care of them. Wash them at least 1 time a month with shampoo or dish soap. Wash them in warm water, going with the flow of the bristles, never against. Then lay on a clean towel to dry. They get softer with washing and as long as they are a good quality brush they wont lose bristles or rust.

Heres my review of Mac Studio Fix & Urban Decay Surreal Skin Mineral Makeup

Studio Fix is a powder foundation. The color looks really white cause I am pale, its N3.. so they have whiter ones. I really like it. I was using Bare Minerals and its messy and very yellowing on my eyebrow area for some reason, but I didnt have this problem with Studio Fix. It covers where I had a red mark from picking at a pimple with out looking heavy. Also wears well staying in place and not getting shinny for a good 8 hours. So I have been won over I really like this foundation.

I also want to add here a review of Urban Decay Surreal Skin Mineral Makeup. I have it in the color Dream. This is a nice product for days you want to look natural. Its light coverage and goes on like a breeze because the built in powder puff top. I like this for those mornings you wake up late but still want a quick once over. It would also be great for a younger person just getting into makeup, because its basically fool proof. So I also really like this powder. I also tried Philosophy Supernatural 4-in-1 Mineral Make Up but I was in between colors, too dark for Neutral 1, and too light for Warm 1. That is why I went with Urban Decay more color selection and identical products down to the same applicator. And its $7 cheeper, honestly I would buy this one over the Philosophy one just because of color selection but with the seven dollar savings its a no brainer.

Aaron Spelling the end of an age

Aaron Spelling, whether you loved his shows or hated them, was a prolific TV legend. I grew up with his TV shows. I remember watching Love Boat, Hart to Hart, Fantasy Island when I stayed home from school. I remember after school specials like the boy in the plastic bubble, with John Travolta. I remember watching TJ Hooker, with Heather Locklear. No one could ever forget 90210, and how cute Brandon was, and the bad boy Dillon. And he was still creating before his death at 83. He created so much, and yea sometimes we all loved to hate his shows, but he always had another one waiting in the rafters to bring us back into his world. I will miss his unique talent for knowing what people want to watch, and for having to bare even more Real TV... bluggg.

I spend at least thirty minutes to an hour reporting fake Coach bags a day. That is just on Coach, that’s not including the other designer I sit there and try to help people I don’t even know so they don’t get ripped off. But people want a bargain; well I can’t sell my purses at the prices people sell fake items. So people bid on those items and don’t even know they bought a bag that was made in china and cost $5 to make if that. They don’t know to look at the C's on the logo bag and see if they line up, and are the same on each side of the center. I took the time to learn how to spot a fake bag, and how to spot fake wallets. The wallets on Ebay are rampantly fraudulent; maybe one out of every 100 is an actually authentic one. The purses are not quite that bad but some styles are flooded with fakes; patchwork bags are one of the worst copied bags as well as logo bags. Basicly it just makes me mad that people are so eazily taken in getting a bargain that they dont even think about the fact that if its too good to be true, then its not true.

Ok I bought some Coach purses. I took them to the Coach store to make sure they were the real deal. I found authentic wallets to go with the bags that matched.... I priced them lower then the total I paid for them to sell the items. These stupid morons will pay hundreds for really crappy fake bags and think they got the best deal but wont spend the money to get a real one. I am not going to feel sorry for them and tell people "hay you bought a fake bag” These morons can figure it out themselves. Dick heads

I was leaving after my MAC makeover. I must have looked pretty good, because there was a young man in his 20's and he said "hi" to me. I said "hi" back. Then he said I looked really good. I was a little taken aback, and then I said I just had a makeover. He said I looked beautiful, and then went on to say that I must have been beautiful before the makeover. I said I didn’t think so. Went to my car turned on the air and felt pretty good.
Makes you remember that you still got, maybe not IT, but at least something. My hubby said that I was pretty, no matter what. I am not so sure about that but it feels good to maybe think it. Oh I worked out today as well. 12 minutes on the bike and 15 minutes on the elliptical machine.

MAC Makeover photo

Well I got my MAC makeover today. Rachel used warm peaches and gold’s to accent my hair color. She was extremely nice and personable. She showed how to achieve this affect on my own. I think I might have to get another makeover with purples and pinks, which are some of my favorite colors. But my hair has changed from blondish to more of a red brown, so I am not sure how those will look with the new hair. We will have to wait and see.
So what I got today... (drum roll please!)

A great natural color lip liner called Spice, very pretty and matches my lips well. I think I can use this with a lot of my lip-gloss colors. Also I finally have a lip liner I will actually wear, my old ones are so dark.
Along with the lip liner I purchased a fun lip-gloss called Fancy That. The lip-gloss is smooth doesn’t have a smell or taste at all, which I really like. Stays in place well with out reapplying. Over all good lip-gloss.

On a beauty note, I am getting a Mac makeover

On Thursday at 2:00 I am getting a Mac makeover. I am excited to try there powder foundation. I use bare Minerals currently but now that I am doing my makeup in the bedroom I don’t want the mess. So I am selling what I currently have of that product and going with more traditional eye shadows, and foundation. I will post a photo if I look OK. Sometimes with getting makeup at a mall you end up... yuck. So it is contingent on that.

Superman movies too cool

I saw a preview last night of Superman returns. The actor Brandon Routh did a superb job of mimicking Christopher Reeves. He must have watched the two superman movies again and again to get the nuances down. This relatively unknown actor deserves admiration for his work.
The movie it self is well done. The special effects are good and some beautiful scenes with space back grounds. The actress who played Louise Lane wasn’t as convincing as Routh, but was still a good fit. I liked that Lane had gone on with her life, in spite of or maybe because of her love for superman. The movie leaves its end open for more movies, and for a very complicated love store with Lane, Superman and Richard. I would go see it in the theater I think that something will be lost on a home viewing. Enjoy

OK I have to stop drinking diet soda

I love soda, regular, diet, with cherries, it doesn’t matter I love it.
But I have now read 4 different beauty mags that say it’s a big HUGE NO-NO. Now I should clarify this, if I am at home and have my bottled water I like water, or if I buy bottled water I am good. But I hate going out to eat and getting water, it tastes bad to me. If I put lemon in it then I add a sugar substitute, which it turns out, causes weight gain. (Even if it doesn’t its pretty bad for your body.) Soda for women is really bad because it takes the calcium out of your bones. So many people drink so much soda that is just a scary thought. Anyway I am going to try and not eat artificial sweeteners, and not eat so many sweets, and work out more. Ugggg, I have a lot to do!

I have never used Mac but they really seem to be getting some rave reviews. I am looking for a new foundation, as I am almost out of bare minerals. I dont like that it seems orange around my eyebrows, which are very light colored. Plus I am lazy and dont like to do the two steps needed, foundation followed by mineral veil. So I will let you all know what I think of Mac's and Physician formula. Night all

Well the bedroom is coming along. It still need the headboard put up, and the curtain rod and drapes as well. I got a few things back up on the walls. Now that I am in the middle of it I remember why I didnt do it for so long. But it looks a ton better.

The walls are painted, at least what I could get too. We have this sort of built in Ikea closets. So I got both ends and part of the wall behind but I couldn’t get all of it. I couldn’t get the ceiling where the tall units are because I couldn’t get the roller in. Anyway besides that the room is almost complete. I have all the walls and the ceiling painted. Filled in all the holes, and I am painting the window still. It was sort of half varnished, and half just plain wood. So I am using the ceiling paint on it. I am not sure this is a good idea the wood seems to be bleeding into it. I will have to have at least 4 coats of paint maybe more. I also ran out of tape so I am doing this one by hand. Last night I was painting the ceiling and got paint all over my hair, its hard to get it out. So I got a painters hat today, only a little bit on my hair so thats good. I will post pictures when its done.

Potions and lotions

I have to admit I love skin care stuff. I love it more then makeup, it comes in close after my hubby. I am big into Estee Lauders line currently. I change lines about once every one too two years. Anyway I use the cleanser, toner, Idealist, Perfectionist, two types of lotion Daywear for day, and Future Perfect at night. I also use HYLEXIN EYE CREAM its for dark circles, I don’t see much of a difference but it makes me feel a little better at least I am trying to fix the dark rings of death under my eyes. I love scrubs and pretty much anything pampering is right up my ally. So if you find something really awesome please post it!

I went to Boston Store for the lipstick trade in event. I had 4 lipsticks, which were old and a little too dark for me. So I decided to get some more of the new Estee Lauder lip-glosses. They are just so nice. Anyway I go the counter and there is a free gift. So I talk to the sales person, Marilyn who was really terrific, and she says she will let me buy 3 lip glosses with the lipstick turn in of $5 off of each and gave me the free gift. I got 3 new lip-glosses for $33, and a gift! Oh I am in love with Flamingo its a sheer pink gloss that is so pretty. Rose is gorgeous, and Bronze is so sexy. If you haven’t gotten out and tried these yet, get out there!
Marilyn also had me try some new blushes I cant wait to use. Rose nuance which is a petel soft blush. I am going to have to get it when we have a little more $$. Anyway off for now. Stay cool and drink lots of H2O.

This woman is my shoe goddess idol. She has the shoe closet all of us want but are afraid to admit it. This year I bought my first pair of shoes over the $200 mark, because of her inspirational commentary on shoes. Now mind you I got them on ebay so I didn’t pay that much for them but they still were $255 Kate Spade shoes. I recently took a Coach purse and had it sent in to the company because the dye on the leather came off. It was really weird. Anyway I got a letter that said basically that the purse wasn’t usable and they would like it if I spent $177 at their store for a new purse. Don’t have to ask me twice! So I got one of the new scarf print bags, I didn’t think I would like it as much as I did. It’s grown on me.

Yep I am tired of worn out yellow, I need a change. I am going with a light lilac color. I have the blanket set already which is blues, greens, and purples. Its pretty, that’s the pillowcase. So I am doing purple on the walls and I think sage curtains. I am trying to get this set from Pottery Barn, on ebay they are used so maybe I could afford them. So I will have to keep you all up-to-date on the project

I must admit I drink a ton of water. I have a really dry mouth so I take it everywhere. I buy a bottle of water and then fill up again and again from my water cooler. Now I am also very picky about the water in the cooler. I like Hinckley springs drinking water, I don’t like anything that is mineraly. Anyway we are short on funds (yeah I know who isn’t, this year sucks) so I am going to stop having water delivered. I don’t know if this will actually save money or if I will just end up spending more money on bottles of water. My hubby said one more month, Whoopee!

Oh Estee Lauder has a new lip gloss

I was and Marshall fields soon to be Macy's two weeks ago. I had gone to Lancôme for the gwp, and was looking for a light coral color lipstick. This is hard because my hair has a lot of red in it and coral clashes. So I found a color I liked but they didn’t have it, checked Boston store no luck. So I was back at Fields returning something and I saw that Estee Lauder had their gwp as well. So I figured I use it all the time why not get something. So I checked out a bunch of stuff and wasn’t really finding anything jumping out at me. The Estee Lauder beautician came over and she showed me this really pretty all over power that was various shades of peach/coral. I am very fair skinned so I could use it as a blush. I am weird about blush I always think I have too much on, but I have only a little bit. I think its because I am hot when I am getting ready so I am flushed. But anyway back on topic.

Then I asked if they had any coral colored lipstick or lip-gloss. I did not like the old lip-gloss by Estee, it tasted bitter to me (I drink tons of bottled water and lip stuff gets on the rim). So she said this was a new one. I tried it, yum didn’t have the chemical smell or bitter taste, and it didn’t feel like a layer of plastic wrap on my lips. I might have to get a pink one to replace my old one. It made my lips peel so I had to toss it.

I forgot to tell you all, the T3 hair dryer is amazing!

I had a birthday on June 1. No I am not telling you how old I am. I was surfing the web and on ebay there was a deal for the t3 featherweight hair dryer and the Chi straitening iron both for $110. That’s a good deal. Anyway I was telling me mom about it and she said she wanted to get me that for my b-day. (Yeah-good mom!)
So I got it. I didn’t think it would be much different from my other hair dryer, but its true. It takes less time to dry and my hair isn’t as fly away. I didn’t have a straitening iron but my friend suggested I try one. Wow its great. I am seriously in love with these two products. Anyway if anyone ever reads this, they really work!

I got a makeup box, not a bag but a big box

This thing is great. It has 2 draws for stuff, two flip up trays, one main tray and the doors open to hold brushes. I am pretty excited about it! I know its not a good box, its not made the best, but it really works for me and with shipping and everything it was only $28.
I moved all my makeup stuff to the bedroom, just to hot in the bathroom. Oh what I would give for central air! Anyway now I need a makeup mirror. I found one for $32 with shipping I think I will talk to the hubby and get it. Can't wait till it's all put together. I actually cleaned the bedroom... got all the laundry out, on Sunday I am mopping the floor.

Well first off I was awful I didn’t mean to be, but it was just that way. I got sick the day I was to go in, so I canceled and rescheduled. Then I got my monthly and I was like no way, so I canceled, again. Then I ended up working for a friend on the day I was supposed to get this done and I canceled, again. Finally I got to an appointment. I would not have blamed the girl if she had done the wax in the worse possible way, but she was awesome. First it’s embarrassing, but the girl was really good at making you feel relaxed. She talked about her kids and had some funny stories. And honestly the wax didn’t hurt much, it hurt the next day. And you have to make sure you exfoliate or you get nasty bumps. She suggested an exfoliating glove, I found one at the dollar store, so it’s a good bet they have the glove pretty regular.
So I am all-bare down there and I have a gyn appointment with a new doctor. My other doctor wasn’t very good, he didn’t do breast exams. So I am just dying of embarrassment. Anyway the new doctor seemed nice. He talked some in his office first and then did the exam in an exam room. Ok so he did the breast exam, then the pap smear, then out of the blue he says, this is the worst part then its all over, yea anal exam. I half jumped off the table and I would have said no, but he was done. It was weird, but I think its becoming common because polyps and rectal cancer. But still it was weird to go from a doctor that was like whatever to a doctor that was really thorough.

You have got to try this stuff. It’s like the best mascara I have ever tried. I have actually tried a lot of them, as that was one thing I used quite a bit. But anyway, it’s called Dior show. It has a huge brush that coats the lashes so nicely, no more having to comb through them to get rid of clumps. It is fantastic. I have these itty-bitty eyelashes, hell all my hair on my body is fine and I don’t have much, but this stuff makes them look huge. Seriously you need to try this. I have used Estee lauders, Lancombs, and false lashes by Prescriptives; Dior has a better brush then any of them.
The brush with the silver handle is Dior, the other with the black is flex wp by Lancome.

Well I have been burned. I wanted to get some new handbags and thought eBay has them for so much cheaper, ill get it there. Not a good idea unless you research it, a lot!
So I bid on 3 bags and won them I was all excited. Then I get an email from a couch employee stating the bag I got was a really bad fake. So I was like how can I tell, I went to the eBay community boards and found the purses, shoe forum and checked. Huge Huge fake. And one of the other ones is fake too. So I didn't pay for one, but I did the other one. I emailed the person stating the bag was fake so I didn't want it and haven't heard back.
Then on one I got a real coach bag! But the person selling it stated is was new with out tags, in excellent condition. Also it was 12 inches wide by 6 inches high. I get it and the bag is tiny its actually 8 1/4 inch wide by 6 high. And its filthy. Here check out the pictures I took of it. (love my digital camera!)

Bikini wax

So I am thinking about a bikini wax, the whole thing... Brazilian. I was thinking it would be a nice present for my hubby. He would love it. I have never had anything waxed but my eyebrows. And its a little embarrassing to be you know... naked spread eagle. So I was thinking maybe I could do it myself. I have never done waxing at home... I am not that coordinated, so it might be dangerous. Well something to think about.

Sandals and summer toes

Summer is fast approaching, although here in Wisconsin its around 40 degrees... burr! The heat in the house is turned off for summer so its around 60 degrees inside. But still summer is coming and toe showing season will be here soon!
For summer you need to get your feet in good shape. I get myself around two pedicures each summer one in the beginning and one at around August. The best pedicures in Milwaukee, is Tanya’s on 86 and north ave. She is a doll and does just the best job. So if you are around here go see her. The pedicures run $35.00 totally worth every penny.
Once your feet are looking a little better (I know I neglect mine in winter!) You need to have two really great nail colors. One red and a hot pink.. There are of course more colors but these are the essentials. I'm not really a waitress, by OPI, is the perfect red (if you only buy one nail polish make it this one!) Next a nice hot pink, this looks so nice on tanned skin. My skin doesn’t tan; I am either pale or lobster red. But I still wear hot pink just I need a little red in it, found a good one by OPI called "To Eros is Human". This year with all the bright colors out pretty much anything goes, just don’t go to pale!
Now shoes, I love shoes, I would have a room dedicated to shoes if I could. But since my husband said I couldn’t have anymore till I got rid of some, well there are a bunch of shoes up on ebay! Now I have a dilemma. I wear wedge platforms, usually slip-on. Ok when you do a lot of walking it makes the bottom of my foot sore. So I am going to try and see if an ankle strap will help at all. Thing is I have always heard that if you have short legs you shouldn’t ware them. (I hate my legs, their short, wide, and lots of veins, yuck!) Also because of my legs I don’t wear shorts, I go with Capri’s. So an ankle strap with Capri’s... I am thinking it’s not a good idea. Maybe I can get some of the new skirts that are showing up this summer that would look better I guess.

new toys

So I got some new toys. Go Smile... this stuff is so great. I got the B1 whitening system. It really worked. Didn’t hurt my teeth, didn’t make them more sensitive. And got them much whiter. So I tried there lip protector, and I love it. I have lip issues. When I wear lipsticks or glosses that have a lot of sparkle my skin on my lips likes to peel off. (Gross!) This stuff helps, tried a ton of others. Burts, Clinque, blistex, and some other ones they didn’t help. So I am now totally hooked on Go Smile. They have the best toothpaste, I mean I really really like. It’s just really fresh tasting. Anyway if you are going to whiten your teeth definitely think about this product.
Then I got something that is suppose help your eye lashes grow. It’s called Talika lipocils, sounds like it’s a lip thing but its not. This is the one that people seem to think actually helps. So I am praying on my thin little eyelashes that it works! I will keep you up to date. (Not that anyone reads this silly thing)
I finally got my hand lotion. I got this hand lotion in Door County years ago, I liked, a lot. I along with weird lips, I have one elbow that is always dry.. like to the point that the skin is torn. This lotion helps, not many really do so I was happy. Ahava this stuff is the bomb. Anyway

Oh Ebay how I do love you

Well I went just a little over board.... I just started to use Estee Lauder skin care, about 3 months now. So I have been using this stuff called Idealist, I love it. Goes on under your lotion and makes your skin feel like velvet. Anyway the ladies at the counter keep suggesting I try Perfectionist, it also goes on under the lotion. So yesterday I saw the 1oz bottle going pretty low on Ebay so I bought it for about $20 and $6 shipping. So today I was just hanging out on Ebay and I see some bottles that are 1.7oz going for under $30. So I snatched up all 3 of them... Like I need three. Then the same person has the huge gigantic mega 3.4oz bottle and it was only at $34.... so I bid $40 and got it for 39.50. Now I am wondering how the heck I am going to use all this! That is 9.5 oz, that’s more the half a pound. Anyway if anyone needs some perfectionist.. Email me!

Perfume musing

I have never been a huge perfume user. I would use shower gel and lotion and that was it. But lately I have decided to take the huge leap to perfumes. I do not like anything really strong, or musky, spicy and what not. I do like green, fruity (not to much!), and light florals. I have Clinque Happy Heart but its a little to heavy on the Lilac. So I checked out Fields and found my favorite perfume it is so different called BVLGARI Crystalline... smells so good. But on me at least the scent fads really fast. So I am looking at purchasing bath and body lotion... ouch like $30 each. But it might be worth it. I have been looking for some other perfumes... apparently most people have more then one... who know. (See I am a novice) So I picked up Tommy Bahamas Very Cool... its coconut, has a sea smell as well as light floral. I also picked up Ralph, which I am going to have to return it gives me a headache. So I am still looking. Anyway just thought I would post my new perfumes cause well my life is dull and this is exciting.
